Rich in potential, community and culture, Blue Downs is located on the eastern outskirts of Cape Town and makes up part of the Oostenberg subregion.

The Western Cape provincial government has set its sights on Blue Downs for development, which include improved public transportation and additional schools.

Public transport is the area’s occupants main means of travel, as Blue Downs is located close to the train station. There are also multiple taxi and bus services available to get to where you need to be.

International travel is also right at your doorstep, with Cape Town International Airport  a mere 20-minute drive away.

For a day outside you can visit the Blue Downs sports stadium, which seats between 1000 – 2500 spectators – perfect for small athletic events.The stadium recently added a new driving range for people to enjoy, too.

If you’re willing to take a quick 25-minute drive you can enjoy a day at the beach with friends. Muizenberg beach has beautiful views, putt-putt, water slides, as well as smaller swimming pools for children. You can spend your Saturday surfing or if you’re feeling adventurous, take a drive to explore the surrounding picture-perfect towns like Simon’s Town or Kalk Bay. If you get hungry while you’re off exploring the area, there are many wonderful restaurants to choose from.
